New v2.2: Advanced Segmentation, Social Media, Locked Templates and Finnish

Hello,

CakeMail just released version 2.2 of the CakeMail User Interface.  Here are
the great new features included in this release.

Advanced Segmentation

You can now create advanced segments based on actions reported in prior
emails! Segments are no longer limited to simple field values. Now you can
segment your list based on actions - If a mailing has been opened or a link
has been clicked - Making subsequent mailings and follow-ups a lot more
effective.

Locked Templates

You can now lock areas within your System Templates.  End-users can
only edit what they are allowed to, giving the administrator absolute
control over messaging and branding.

Social Sharing

Allow your recipients an easy way to share your mailing content with their
social networks. Now you can add social networking icons to your email
content, making it easy for recipients to share your newsletter with their
favorite social networks like Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn… with a click
of a button.

New Interface Language: Finnish

The CakeMail User Interface is_ now available in Finnish_. CakeMail is now
offered in 11 easy-to-configure languages: German, Greek, Spanish, Estonian,
French, Dutch, Romanian, Russian, Thai… and English.

CakeMail habla español

Estamos muy orgullosos de anunciar que el software de marketing por correo electrónico de CakeMail ya está disponible en español, para Latinoamérica e Hispanoamérica y todos los demás clientes de habla hispana se complacerán de utilizar la aplicación CakeMail en totalidad, en su propio idioma.

La traducción ha sido completada por nuestro socio Citymail en Méjico que ofrece ahora el servicio de CakeMail a sus clientes.

CakeMail se encuentra actualmente disponible en 9 idiomas, incluyendo inglés, francés, español, alemán, griego, ruso, rumano, estonio y holandés.

We’re very proud to announce that CakeMail’s email marketing software is now available in Spanish. Latin American, Hispanic American and all others Spanish-speaking customers will be pleased to use the full CakeMail application in their own language.

The translation has been completed by our partner Citymail in Mexico who is now offering CakeMail’s service to its clients.

CakeMail is currently available in 9 languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, Greek, Russian, Romanian, Estonian and Dutch.

CakeMail Email Marketing Software available in German, Romanian and Greek

CakeMail is very excited to make three more languages available in the CakeMail user interface. You can now use CakeMail email marketing software in English (US), French (Canada), Russian, Dutch, German (BETA), Greek (BETA) and Romanian (BETA). And the best news is you can use them all at the same time. That’s right! You can have people from around the world using the same account in their own language of choice!

The Romanian version was developed by the CakeMail team. The German version is the work of our partner wissenswerft in Germany, and the Greek version was translated by MailCloud in Greece. Both wissenswerft and MailCloud offer their own private label version of CakeMail’s service for their clients.

In these tough financial times, we believe it’s wise to think globally, and expand into international markets. CakeMail’s interface is easily translatable and this makes it a great tool. Dutch: The Fourth Language Available on CakeMail Thanks to ZennerMedia from Belgium

MailMarketing.beFollowing English, French and Russian, Dutch is now available for CakeMail users. The interface has been translated by ZennerMedia, an Internet company based in Belgium that is happy to have a way to serve customers in their 3 official languages.

We were fortunate to have an occasion to chat with Sam Zenner, CEO of ZennerMedia.

CakeMail: Could you please tell us about what ZennerMedia does?
Sam Zenner: ZennerMedia’s main focus is to help companies get their stories out there. Rather than helping our customers shout louder in a place where everyone is already screaming for attention, we want to provide them with solutions that “take people’s breath away”.

We try to be a full-service agency, serving custom-made websites that adhere to the highest industry standards. This also means that we manage our customers’ blogs as well as their mailing lists.

CM: Why did you choose CakeMail and how will it help your business?
SZ: We chose to work with CakeMail because of its entirely translatable interface. Not having to program an email application from scratch saved us a lot of time and working with CakeMail didn’t interrupt our regular workflow. We’ll be able to offer to our customers an entirely Dutch app less than 2 months after our first contact with CakeMail team.

CM: What language issue is CakeMail solving for your specific needs?
SZ: Even though Belgium is sort of a multilingual country (3 official languages), much of the “older” generation doesn’t understand English all that well. This Dutch version of CakeMail will help our business, in that we no longer have to confront our customers with an English interface. From now on we can direct our clients to the MailMarketing.be website and they’ll find a clean, easy to use interface in their native language.

CM: What were your specific challenges related to the translation?
SZ: Even though the translation module isn’t finished quite yet, everything was fully functional so I don’t have any complaints. The biggest challenge in translating was to abbreviate most of the interface, because the Dutch language tends to need more words than English to explain the same thing.

CM: Anything else you wish to add?
SZ: I hope we can continue to work with The Code Kitchen on new projects. I liked working with the team and there are a lot of app’s out there that would be used a whole lot more if they could be translated!
