An important part of ensuring customers receive your emails is having them add your From address to their ‘Safe’, Contact or Permitted Sender list. This will help alleviate any content filter issues and help establish you as a trusted sender. We recommend you not only include something at sign-up, but in your email content as well. Here is an example:
Thank you for signing up to our newsletter! You will start receiving from <info@cakemail.com>, please make sure you add this address to your 'Safe' list so you don't miss out on any of our emails!
To make sure you continue to receive these emails, please add the following address <info@cakemail.com> to your 'Safe' list.
* As you can see, we have used our own branding just as an example, but you can substitute this for any company name or email address you wish.
What is a "Whitelist"?
Adding our sending address (From:) to your list of accepted email senders (often referred to as a "Whitelist", "Safe list", or "Permitted sender list") will ensure that you receive important email communication from CakeMail.
How Do I Ensure that CakeMail is on My "Whitelist"?
Please refer to the following whitelisting instructions you can use to whitelist email from CakeMail. There are a number of different spam programs on the market, and email services/software such as AOL, Hotmail and Yahoo! have specific rules about adding providers to your whitelist.
