Make Your Emails Easy To Share

By February 21, 2011 One Comment

Our technical support specialist Andrea (@dreasaez on twitter) is our resident how-to expert. Once in a while she’ll be sharing some of her “how do I…” tips and tricks here. This week’s post is all about making it easy for people to share your email content via social media sites.

The vast array of social media sites (and our built in social media toolbar) makes it easy for a single subscriber to now share your email with hundreds or thousands of followers and extend the reach of your content.

To add the Social Media toolbar and send your readers to your Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter or other popular sites, select the Links drop-down on the HTML editor menu when you’re creating your campaign’s content.

This will add a number of icons for social media sites to your campaign in a single toolbar.

By default the toolbar includes Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn, Digg, Delicious, NewsVine, Reddit, and StumbleUpon, but you can edit and adjust these links as required.

To edit specific links, click on each icon in the editor and follow the prompts in the pop-up to edit the URL.

Click OK to save your changes. Track activity from these links in your campaign reports (# of clicks), or by using social media monitoring tools like Social Mention or Google Alerts.
