Make-A-Wish / Fais-un-Voeu Québec: 10 year anniversary

By August 30, 2016 No Comments

Why is CakeMail participating in the 48 HOUR Ride?

What started out as a hack day to build a tool to help participants raise money for the Make-A-Wish / Fais-un-Voeu Québec 48 HOUR RIDE event became a cause we are attached to.

CakeMail is a company with lots of young families. Every day, we’re grateful that our children are healthy. We’re aware that not every family is that lucky. It’s why stories like Jacob’s, Nicolas’ and Micha’s resonate with us. It’s why we’ll be cycling, volunteering and raising funds again in 2016.

Last year, the CakeMail team raised $ 7,875. This year, our goal is $ 10,000 to sponsor one child’s wish of a lifetime. Literally.

What you can do to help

You can donate to the CakeMail team and help us raise funds for the team! There are no registration fees or team costs. For every dollar you donate, $0.70 goes straight to making a wish come true – and help a family cope with what they must go through every day.

Even better? For every $25 you donate, you get 1 participation voucher for a draw to get one of the following:

  • One of 4 $50 gift certificates at Smoking BBQ
  • One of 2 $50 gift certificates at Satay Brothers
  • One 1 hour photoshoot, worth $300 including 12 digital pictures: family, portrait, corporate, personal profile

Just visit our team page to donate now.

About Make-A-Wish / Fais-un-Voeu Québec

The mission of Make-A-Wish® / Fais-Un-VoeuMD Quebec is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

A wish holds within it the magic of hope, strength, and joy. In order for this magic to happen, we attend to every child’s unique imagination, and grant them their deepest wish.

The process allows for the child and their family to confront the daily challenges of coping with a child’s illness.

For these reasons, every wish becomes a priority for the Foundation!
